Seminar Topic: Innovating Genetic Diagnosis and Drug Development through AI and Data
Abstract:
Genomic medicine is one of the most rapidly evolving fields of medical AI, driven by large-scale patient genome data and AI advancements. This innovation enables:
-
Accurate diagnosis of genetic diseases by analyzing a patient’s full 3 billion DNA base pairs
-
Identification of genetic mutations responsible for cancer to enable early detection
-
Discovery of previously unknown target proteins for drug development
-
Determination of specific target regions within proteins to develop effective therapies
In this seminar, we will explore case studies of genomic medicine innovation, the role of data in advancing the field, and the possibilities and limitations of AI-driven genomic medicine.
